COVID-19 Pandemic - Criminal Case Automatic Adjournment Dates

If you have a court date between now and May 29, your matter will automatically go over to another date. Please see the photo chart. Unless you can show the court your matter is urgent, your matter will not proceed. I have had important trials go over already. I was fortunate enough to convince the Crown Attorney and Judges on a couple matters to proceed by way of telephone conference. This allowed my clients to return home to their matrimonial home during this epidemic. Otherwise their criminal charge release conditions had them living at different addresses. Each day, there is a telephone conference number to call in to be able to attend court. At first it was a little tricky but now everyone seems to get a good handle on it. If you have a matter coming up, feel free to call for some assistance. During this time, I’m reducing my rates as much as possible to help out. I do however have my staff which is always there to help out.
